Burgundy Is The New Red

My relationship with lipsticks has had its ups and downs. I always love it on other people, but once I try it out myself, I don't think it looks as fabulous as it must look. For this exact reason, I have always owned only one lipstick, a bright red one. As many people around me were already wearing this bright red color already, it would have been a bit cliché to start pulling off this color as well. 

The thing is, it is quite difficult to find a lipstick color which is wearable on one hand making a statement one the other. Now, after endlessly browsing through tumblr pages, I have found the perfect color for me; burgundy. I am definitely going to wear this color on my lips, it is different but yet not overdone. To be honest, I think the burgundy shade will work even better for me, a brunette, than the bright red one would have done.

Travel: Algarve, Portugal

Oh what a holiday! Only a week ago, I was out partying with my friend in the Algarve, Portugal. We have had the most amazing time; napping on the beach in the daytime, partying in the clubs (or still at the beach, as you can see in the last picture) during the night. The sun was shining all day long! I hope my tan will stay around for a little while since in the Netherlands I do not get the chance to maintain it.. 

Now back to work! Within a few weeks I will be moving to the wonderful city of Rotterdam, so I can use the extra money.

Primark A/W Collection 2014

Faux fur coats, overknee boots and cozy knits. Although summer still hasn't shown itself, the winter collection is in stores already. I must say, Primark has a good one. Therefore I will definitely be adding a few of those items to my wardrobe. This collection makes me, despite the fact that summer is my favorite season, long to winter a tiny little bit.

One Of Those Days

Lately my life has been a rush. My days have been consisting of working during the daytime and going to graduation parties at night. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. Sometimes I just longed for a moment for myself. 

Today, the sun was shining bright and the temperatures were rising. After a morning of working again, I finally had time to do absolutely nothing and just enjoy the sun and the peaceful silence around me. Those moments tend to be rare in my life, that's why I treasure them even more.

Summer Inspiration

Officially, summer has already started. Since I live in the Netherlands, I haven't been able to notice much about it yet. But this is about to change, because I within a week I will be sunbathing in Portugal. 

Although there isn't much sun to enjoy at the moment, luckily tumblr exists. Tumblr can bring a little bit of sunshine in my living room which keeps me satisfied until real sun rays can touch my skin.
